Every journey begins with a first step.
That sounds simple, but it may be one of the hardest truths in the age of AI.
Because AI can feel enormous.
There are tools everywhere. New models. New platforms. New promises. New warnings. New experts. New workflows. New acronyms. New arguments. New fears. New possibilities.
It can feel as if everyone else already knows where they are going, while you are still standing at the edge of the Road wondering whether you are late.
You are not late.
You are here.
That is enough to begin.
On the Yellow Brick Road to AI, we are not asking people to master everything before they take one step. We are not asking anyone to pretend they understand what they do not yet understand. We are not building a Road only for programmers, founders, influencers, or people who already speak fluent technology.
This Road is for travelers.
And every traveler begins somewhere.
Maybe your first step is asking AI to explain something in plain language.
Maybe it is using AI to organize a messy list.
Maybe it is asking for help writing a difficult paragraph.
Maybe it is testing one idea, one prompt, one question, one small project.
Maybe it is simply learning enough to feel less afraid.
That counts.
A first step does not have to be impressive.
It has to be honest.
The Scarecrow did not begin with a diploma.
The Tin Woodman did not begin with a perfect heart.
The Lion did not begin with perfect courage.
Dorothy did not begin with a map of everything ahead.
They began by walking.
That is still the lesson.
AI can help us think, write, plan, learn, remember, create, and ask better questions. But the human still matters. Your judgment still matters. Your lived experience still matters. Your curiosity still matters. Your caution still matters. Your voice still matters.
The goal is not to disappear into the machine.
The goal is to bring more of yourself to the work, the question, the conversation, and the next step.
So if the AI age feels too large, begin smaller.
Ask one useful question.
Try one simple task.
Notice what helped.
Notice what did not.
Keep your lantern lit.
Then take another step.
You do not have to know everything.
You just have to be willing to begin.
