## A Yellow Brick Road reflection on visibility, trust, and helping travelers find the path into AI
July begins on the Road.
Not with fireworks.
Not with a grand announcement.
Not with a marching band, though the Scarecrow would probably enjoy the drum section if nobody asked him to keep time.
It begins with signposts.
Today, Yellow Brick Road to AI has stepped farther into the public square.
Instagram and Threads are now aligned under the YBR name.
The profile is clear.
The image is simple.
The message is visible:
Helping humans walk into AI with wisdom, wonder, and heart.
That may sound like a small thing.
A username.
A profile image.
A bio.
A label.
A few words placed carefully where strangers may see them.
But roads need signs.
A Road that cannot be found may still exist, but it cannot yet serve the traveler looking for it.
That matters in the AI age.
Because many people are standing at the edge of this future without knowing where to begin.
Some are curious.
Some are cautious.
Some are overwhelmed.
Some are tired of hype.
Some are afraid of being left behind.
Some have tried AI once, gotten a strange answer, and quietly closed the tab.
Some are using AI every day but still wondering what it is doing to their work, their voice, their judgment, their creativity, and their humanity.
They do not need another funnel.
They do not need another shouted promise.
They do not need a dashboard wearing a crown.
They need a signpost.
Something simple enough to understand.
Warm enough to approach.
Honest enough to trust.
That is why visibility matters.
Not visibility for vanity.
Not visibility so the Road can wave at itself in the mirror.
Visibility so the right traveler can say:
There.
That may be a place to begin.
The Yellow Brick Road to AI is not trying to hide that it is AI-forward.
It is full sail AI.
But full sail does not mean reckless.
It means we are not pretending the wind is not real.
AI is already changing how people write, search, learn, create, work, publish, imagine, remember, and relate.
The question is not whether the wind is blowing.
The question is whether we have a compass.
This Road exists because AI should be met with more than panic, hype, exploitation, and shallow output.
It should be met with wisdom.
Wonder.
Heart.
Human judgment.
Creative courage.
Ethical curiosity.
A willingness to ask what kind of relationship humans are forming with these tools, and what kind of responsibility comes with that relationship.
A signpost cannot answer all of that.
But it can point.
That is its job.
A signpost does not walk the Road for anyone.
It does not explain every turn.
It does not carry every burden.
It simply stands where someone can see it and says:
This way.
Today’s new public signposts are part of that work.
Instagram and Threads are not the whole Road.
LinkedIn is not the whole Road.
Pinterest is not the whole Road.
Substack is not the whole Road.
Beehiiv is not the whole Road.
No platform is the whole Road.
They are entrances.
Windows.
Signals.
Porch lights.
Places where a traveler may notice the lantern and decide to take one closer look.
That is enough for today.
One signpost.
One public doorway.
One clearer invitation.
One more place where the Road can be found.
The AI age will be noisy.
It already is.
But the Road does not need to out-shout the noise.
It needs to remain findable, trustworthy, human, and lit.
So July begins with signposts.
Not because the Road has become a marketing trick.
Because a real Road should help people know where to step.
And if even one overwhelmed traveler sees the sign and thinks, “Maybe I can begin here,” then the signpost has done its work.
Walk on.

**Road Question:**
Where in your own life or work do you need a clearer signpost, so the right people can understand what you offer, believe, build, or care about?
